We are having a baby…well sort of.  For those of you who know we just moved to Colorado and away from the grandparents, don’t worry, Sara and I are not pregnant. However, we are still having a baby!!!

Most of you know God has given us a great opportunity to move to Castle Rock, CO to start a new faith community called Front Range Christian Church. We are extremely excited about this opportunity! So far, we have been meeting with a lot of people, inviting them to join the team that will help us launch the church, and organizing a WHOLE LOT of details to pull off the first service.

The first service is approaching quickly, and although we have decided not to officially launch until Feb. 9th, we are having two “preview” services to let the community know who we are and what they can expect. The first of these two preview services is happening in less than 5 weeks, on December 8, 2013. Oh man, I can’t believe this is really happening.

There is so much to do to prepare for this worship service. We have to promote it to the community, get a lot of equipment, make sure leaders are in place and a whole host of other things.  One of the things we have to make sure we have is a well-run family ministry.

In order to have a well-run family ministry, you need a few things.  One, a great leader. Check…we have one of the best in the country joining our team. Two, a great team. Check…we have some of the greatest servants who absolutely love families on our team. Three, a lot of material.

To pull off a great family ministry, we will need a lot of items like diapers, sound systems, rockers, toys, etc. There are so many items we will need to make sure we are caring for parents and kids in the best way possible.

That is where you come in. 🙂

We thought, in order to help us get all the items we need, we would form a baby registry at Target and a wish list on Amazon to give people an opportunity to bless the church and help us reach people for Christ.  We have put most of the items we will need to have a well-run family ministry on these two registries.

That way, anyone can be a part of helping us start the church, have the baby, while not breaking the bank.  We would love for you to consider helping us get the items we need to most effectively minister to families that God will bring in our path.

One last thing. Our due date (first preview service…gotta keep the analogy going!) is December 8th. We’re believing God will provide us with everything we need, and we’re hoping to be fully equipped by December 1.
