Thank You!

11 Years ago, America experienced what some would call the greatest tragedy of American history.  It is a day simply known and remembered as 9/11.  It was one of those days that we all will be able to tell our children and grandchildren exactly where we were when we heard the news.

I remember I was in college heading from one class to another when the news broke.  We were stunned.  We sat in our classroom, in awe, jaws dropped and wondering how could someone do such a thing.

In the aftermath, after we discovered the extent of the damage, the loss of life and the pain that so many were experiencing, our nation united together.  We responded.  Not just in retaliation against those who created the plan.  Not just in a disdain for those who have such a hatred for us.  But, we responded in our love for one another and support of American’s everywhere.

Now, as I think about that today, I simply want to say…

Thank You

Thank you to all the police officers, firemen and first responders that put your life on the line day in and day out for us.

Thank you to all the men and women in our armed forces who are willing to defend us and the freedom God gives to us. Dad, I’m so proud of all you have done for our country.

Thank you to all the families who have sacrificed so much for a loved one to defend our country. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed.

Thank you to all the families and friends who have lost loved ones, your loss is not in vain.

Thank you to God for blessing us with a great country and for allowing us to live in a place where we can pursue Him without fear of persecution.

Thank You!
